What's better than the front cover? The back.

Every once in a while something lands in your inbox and you just sit with it for a second. That happened to me last month. I found out that my piece "Dismantle Illusions" was selected as the Back Cover Artist for Photografique Issue 002 — The Best Of Photographic Art. The back cover. You know what they say: front covers get the glance. Back covers get read. I also have a few more images you will recognize inside on pages 94-95. "Dismantle Illusions" came out of January 2022 — the Follicular phase of my 7th cycle. The start of something new. That particular cycle also marked a shift in the whole series: I stopped creating weekly and started creating monthly, aligning the phases to the seasons. Follicular became Winter turning to Spring. The piece is about pain as the price of authenticity. Not in a motivational poster way. In the way where you actually have to sit with the choice of being hated for who you are or loved for who you're not. That's what Follicular asks of you hormonally. Your brain chemistry is orienting toward a fresh start, toward what deserves your attention next. I made this piece in that window. I'm selling the original so there's only one. Resin on panel, 48 x 68 inches. It's $9,500 and it's available (and so are payment plans through Affirm & Klarna). If you want to hold it in your hands — the magazine, a smaller version of the piece, or the whole digital thing — you can grab a print copy right here: Get your copy of Photografique Issue 002 → [here] $30. Full color. The kind of quality that makes you remember print isn't dead. It's just waiting for art worth printing. One more thing. If you've been on this list a while, you've watched this work evolve from the outside. I built a quiz recently that actually tells you how you experience art — whether you're an Art Renegade, a Biohacker, or a Sovereign. Most of my longtime subscribers haven't taken it yet, and honestly, I want to know where you land. Take it here: The Living Art Personality Quiz. It takes 1-2 minutes and the results are weirdly accurate. Cheers, Meredith all my links are here. |
